Challenge

CocoLife, a new venture from Hayley's Agro, entered the competitive coconut products market needing to establish a strong digital presence that would differentiate them from established local competitors. The challenge was twofold: first, creating a brand experience that would stand out in a traditional industry often characterized by conservative marketing approaches, and second, taking over development responsibilities when their internal team encountered technical roadblocks.

The coconut products market in their region was saturated with similar messaging and visual approaches. CocoLife needed a digital platform that would communicate their quality and innovation while appealing to health-conscious consumers who had numerous established brands to choose from. Additionally, the failed internal development attempt meant we needed to work within existing project constraints while ensuring the final product met their ambitious vision.

Approach

We began by analyzing the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for differentiation, studying how other coconut product brands positioned themselves and where gaps existed in the market. Our research revealed that most competitors relied on predictable tropical imagery and conventional layouts, presenting an opportunity for CocoLife to establish a more dynamic, contemporary presence.

Working closely with the Hayley's Agro team, we developed a design strategy that would balance professionalism with personality. We explored ways to incorporate interactive elements that would engage users while maintaining the credibility expected from a subsidiary of an established agricultural company. Our approach emphasized creating memorable moments throughout the user journey that would set CocoLife apart from the competition.

Solution

We designed and developed a website that broke conventional expectations for the coconut products industry. The interface featured deliberately rough-edged design elements that created visual interest and personality, moving away from the polished-but-generic aesthetic common among competitors. These organic, imperfect edges reflected the natural, unprocessed quality of coconut products while adding contemporary appeal.

The integration of dynamic ThreeJS interactions elevated the user experience beyond static product presentations. These interactive elements created engaging touchpoints that encouraged exploration while showcasing products in innovative ways. The animations and interactions felt purposeful rather than gratuitous, supporting the brand's message of innovation within a traditional industry.

Our visual asset creation extended beyond the website to establish a cohesive brand presence that Hayley's Agro could deploy across multiple channels. The design system we developed gave CocoLife flexibility to maintain their distinctive personality as they expanded their marketing efforts.
